What we collect, and what we do not.
Short version: your website address, the report we build from it, and an email only if you give us one. No tracking cookies, no selling data.
Who holds your data
Ghosted is operated by The Novelty Dev EOOD, a company registered in Bulgaria, VAT BG206598097, at Hristo Fotev, Burgas, Bulgaria. That company is the data controller for everything described below.
For anything on this page, including a request to see or delete what we hold, write to hello@askghosted.com and a person answers. You also have the right to complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection.
What we collect
When you run a check we store the web address you submit, the business profile we read from it (name, what you do, the markets you serve), the questions we generate, the answers the AI assistants return, and the resulting score and plan.
If you give us an email address, for a saved report or to be told when paid plans open, we store that email and what you asked it to be used for. Nothing else about you is required to use the free check: there is no account and no card.
What we send to other companies
We send the generated customer questions to the AI providers we query, currently OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Perplexity, so they can answer them with web search enabled. Those questions describe a category of business and never contain your email or any personal detail about you.
We fetch your public website the way any crawler would. If a page cannot be read directly we may retrieve it through a third-party fetching service.
Where it is stored
Reports, questions and answers are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. Access is restricted to our servers; the public share link for a report works only for whoever holds the unguessable address, and you can ask us to revoke it.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site sets one small preference cookie to remember whether you are viewing demo or live results. Nothing about you is sold or shared for advertising.
How long we keep it
Reports are kept so your link keeps working and so week-to-week comparisons remain possible. Ask us to delete your data and we remove your runs, reports and email, permanently, and confirm when it is done.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Write to us and we will act on it without making you chase.
